A tough away trip in the league awaited Lichfield Academy on Saturday. The team started well and looked sharp on the counter attack with Max ,Lewis and Joey going close with chances. Robbie, Ben, Alex and Jack looked a good solid unit at the back. Harry and rainbow started well in midfield and a few hard tackles proved it was going to be a competitive game. 30 mins into the game top goalscorer lewis broke clear and slotted past the goalkeeper. 5 mins later good pasing play in midfield enabled Jordy to dribble down the right and make it 2-0. As half time approached Lichfield Academy lost concentration and two set pieces showed a 2-2 scoreline at HT.

The team refocused at HT and early into the second half the dangerous lewis got his well earned second goal with a great strike. A well deserved lead. A few minutes later Lichfield Academy pushed for more goals and were rewarded with a superb 25 yard strike from Jordy. 4-2 up. Key subs were made and it was pleasing that they made an impact. Denis,Mo,Ethan,TJ and Ben all doing really well. The team had to deal with some strong physical tackiling in the secong half with a few heated moments and it was pleasing to witness the Lichfield team stick together with the correct attitude. The squad is looking strong and competitive and with the 3 games a week leading into the festive period all players will play their part for the team. Great support from parents again and the team appreciate this. Well done.
