A tough away trip to top of the table Moreton school in wolverhampton was wednesdays fixture and with a few squad changes the team pulled off a fantastic 2-2 draw.

Joey shirley looked a threat up front and was rewarded with a great first half goal. Good passing and work rate from rainbow in midfield ensured Lichfield created chances. Addy, jones,skipper Ben & whitehouse were solid at the back and only a few set pieces caused a problem, from a big and strong wolves team. Fellows making his return to goal played his part with several brilliant reaction saves. 2 in particular a league goal keeper would have enjoyed. Mo on his b-day worked hard for the team and was looking to cover every blade of grass. TJ looked to pass the ball and link well with denis and blake. On a tight pitch it was an end to en game. 1-1 at the break.

Second half witnessed much pressure from the home side however, Lichfield showed great character. Home side took the lead and character was needed to bounce back with 15 minutes to go joey picked the ball up 25 minutes out and let a stunning shot go which their 6ft 2 goalkeeper could not stop reaching top corner. 2-2 and a result Lichfield deserved. Subs Lewis sansoni, caine & reece played their part coming on to give energy to the team. Exciting games are coming up in the next week with a derby against Tamworth on Saturday. Special mention to Jones, Mortiboy & fellows who performed 9-10 again.

A big squad is now in place and it is good to see players performing for their shirt.
