Lichfield City Academy drew 2-2 with AFC Telford in their last league game to win the league championship with Jojo & Joint top goal scorer Junior with the important goals. The next day the lads had a fantastic experience at Shrewsbury Town FC first team ground.

In the first match they played terrific against Shrewsbury in the first ten minutes and should of been 3-0 up. However, Shrewsbury scored with a fab 25 yard strike. A good run and cross from Jordon put in Jojo to equilise. 5 mins from the end Jojo was fouled in the box & Nathan stepped up to score the penalty.

The final against Birmingham City witnessed Lichfield City defend very well as a team and stop Birmingham City moving forward with their talented strikers. The game looked like moving to penalties but with 1 minute to go Lichfield pushed men forward and after great skill in the box Sam found reuben who dribbled past two defenders and calmly out the ball in the net to the delight of his team mates who all ran to the corner with excitement.

A fantastic experience and Jay Denny was a fab host and brilliant achievement for the Lichfield lads to win the cup.
