Lichfield City Academy -FA YOUTH CUP WINNERS

We are pleased to announce that Lichfield City FC Academy are the FA Youth Cup Winners

Lichfield City entertained a strong non league club Boldmere St Michaels and derserved a 2-0 victory. First half goals from Owen Bourne and and OG secured Lichfield City pathway into the next round of the FA CUP U18. 

The team showed great desire and character to the game and at times created some great football. In the first half they should of scored more goals from Eggo, Izzy and Paddy.

However, Boldmere had their chances and came close hitting the crossbar and post. Lichfield City seemed to have more intentsity in their game if required and utilised the second half as the importance to maintain a clean sheet.

Lichfield City not conceeding goal this year.

RC Warick or Newcastle Town awaits in the next round.

Lichfield City Academy Port Vale


The Lichfield City FC Football Academy provides a two year full time course for school leavers 16-18 years of age, who can prove they have football talent or skills to potentially progress to a career in sport.


The football is structured around eight practical football sessions per week. The focus of these sessions is on tactical, technical and physical ability and conditioning, as well the importance of psychological elements of the game.


The education element of this academy ensures that the players do not miss out on further educational studies. The course is a BTEC level 3 national extended diploma in sport (equivalent to 3 A Levels)


The whole course is interactive and effective in order that learning is enjoyable and encouraged that students strive to attain a distinction grade or A level high standards.
