Lichfield City Academy players have moulded into a terrific team in 2019. After winning the Midland floodlit cup & National college league they have started the new season in great form.
6 wins from 6 at u18 level with one OG conceeded and after two FA YOUTH Cup wins the team deserved more with a 2-1 loss in the last minute at RC Warwick. Playing 60 mins of the match with 10 men. Hitting the crossbar in added time.
The young players have high hopes with their education pathway to move onto university, overseas scholarships or the Lichfield Academy HND course in connection with Sutton College BMET.
The 16-18 year old players have also progressed with 1 loss in their last 5 games at u21 level. The team & individuals are performing well.

2 YEAR COURSE
The Lichfield City FC Football Academy provides a two year full time course for school leavers 16-18 years of age, who can prove they have football talent or skills to potentially progress to a career in sport.
8 SESSIONS A WEEK
The football is structured around eight practical football sessions per week. The focus of these sessions is on tactical, technical and physical ability and conditioning, as well the importance of psychological elements of the game.
BTEC LEVEL 3
The education element of this academy ensures that the players do not miss out on further educational studies. The course is a BTEC level 3 national extended diploma in sport (equivalent to 3 A Levels)
INTERACTIVE
The whole course is interactive and effective in order that learning is enjoyable and encouraged that students strive to attain a distinction grade or A level high standards.
