Lichfield City FC Academy visit Wembley & England football Changing rooms
Lichfield City Academy had a fantastic day after college lectures at Wembley this week, touring the England National Football changing rooms and visiting the ground. Some lucky students even were seated in the Royal box. The pitch looked brilliant and the lads were treated to running out as if they were playing a game. The hosts at UCFB our sports friends were great hosts and looked after the team really well. Thank you.
The backstage passes to the stadium tunnel and journalisum area were inspiring. It was great to witness the lads inspired and motivated having fun at Wembley. There was some impressive pictures and gallery pictures to look at and the changing rooms -sitting in ROONEY no10 position was a wonderful memory for all the lads. The information for their education was important to hear and it provided a vision of the future career Lichfield City Aacademy players could be looking towards. A terrific presenation and good fun press conference & team activities for all to join in. A wonderful experience for our students at Lichfield City football/Education Academy.
Codsall who a big threat on set pieces with the land of the giant players pulled away into a 3-1 lead however, tactical subs were used and before half time Lewis got his well deserved goal with a smart finish in the box after fantastic play from Max. Brandon grabbed his second and at half time 3-3 was a cracking result.
A nervous second half was in place as both teams are pushing for the title. Codsall went 4-3 up and with only 15 mins left more tactical subs were needed and the team started to find spaces on the pitch, tackle a bit better and Jacob, Jordy, TJ & Mo started to get involved in the game well. Joe played a great ball through to Lewis who finished from a tight angle. 4-4 and with more injuries happening and 8 mins left Lichfield City Academy got a penalty they deserved for attacking with pace in the box in the second half.
Brandon stepped up to make his hatrick and the team had to see out the game with good passing and possession. Codsall had one more corner but fellows in goal some how got the ball out. Charlie & Sansoni in midfield today passed and worked hard for the team, with good shape in the team & all the lads working with high energy it was the best performance of the season to take Lichfield City Academy top of the college league with 4 games to play in march before their Real Madrid tour. Well done team and be proud of an amazing win.
