Another year, another tour complete and our biggest one yet!
As an Academy we pride ourselves on the development of all our learners, not just on the pitch and in the classroom on site but also within the various extra curricular activities we take part in. Itβs not just about the winning of football matches and achieving a grade in the classroom. Itβs about developing those key skills that will enable all of our students to progress into the real world as well rounded individuals, ready to create their own success in life.
The tour each year is a way for us to end the year and celebrate all of our achievements from the academic year and see all of that development come into fruition. Our learners go away on tour and realise the importance of key skills such as Communication, Teamwork and Organisation. Seeing the learners display these key skills each day fills us as staff with immense pride.
Each year we have a Student of the Year. Someone who excels with all of the above and continues to drive standards up on and off the pitch. This year KJ won the award for the first years. What a wonderful honour to present the award to him whilst on tour following back to back wins, 4-0 and 3-1 against tough Spanish opposition. Keep up the great work! You will be a role model to our new learners in September!
As a whole, it is safe to say that the tour was a successful one and all staff are proud of our learners and their achievements this year.
