Lichfield City Football-education Academy

Easter Holidays trials for the next generation of sport students and talented boy & girl footballers.

This season has witnessed young footballers reach the FA YOUTH CUP county final at Stoke City FC. The academy players have had events at St Georges Park and had elite football development. Visits to Wembley and Manchester City.

The players train-play each day on a brand new 4G pitch and have the opportunity to develop in midland & National competitions. Academy-U18-reserves or first teams depending on their progress and attitude.

In May the team will attain their education qualifications for another year place at the academy, or foundation degree pathways, university or USA scholarships.

We also go on tour to FC Barcelona to create long lasting friendships and memoriers.

If a young player falls in love with their own development by understanding which aspects of their game needs improving, has the mentality to take risks in order to improve & enjoys themselves doing it, I believe this is best recipe for individual improvement.

Coaches play a huge role here as a good relationship of trust is needed. Give the player good feedback & the backing to go out & attempt things they cannot do.

Young players need the confidence to fail, because as we know, without failure there is no success.
