5 STAR Lichfield City Academy Performance

Lichfield City Academy played two won two. Another quality performance today beating Newcastle Town 3-1. After another nervous start the lads went 1-0 down. But started to pass the ball and find their way in the game. Brandon looking a threat down the left and jordy addy playing his best game. Brandon equailising before half time. Newcastle looked a threat in the first half and were taking long shots with a strong wind behind them. Josh pulling off two wonderful saves. Second half Lichfield City Academy new the game was their to take forward and pressed for the second a great move allowed Jordan to fire home with quality to make it 4 goals in 3 games.

The celebration as a team was wonderful to see. 5 keen subs wanted to play and all had their run outs. Denis impressing and scoring a great back flick goal to make it 3-1. Some excellent solid performances again from Alex,Jack,Ethan, ben,Jordy and star man Brandon who was a quality threat all game. Rainbow could of sealed the game but a good save from the spot occurred. Joey looked sharper in front of goal. Versatile Magic Mo worked hard again. The starting 11 is now a difficult one to select with good players sitting in the stand today. We wish Robbie and Liam quick recovery from their operations. Top of the league and a great start to the season. Well done lads
